Terms and Conditions

1. All course fees must be paid in full prior to any training, unless other arrangements have been previously agreed with Total Logistics Training in writing and that agreement has been confirmed in writing.

2. Total Logistics Training, reserve the right to take any outstanding balances due from the Customers debit/credit card on or after the course start date.

3. Total Logistics Training reserve the right to charge the Customer interest at 5% above bank base rate per day and charge for any other associated costs.

4. Any course cancellation made by the customer must be made in writing to Total Logistics Training.

5. All certificates and documentation will remain the property of the Total Logistics Training until full payment has been received.

6. Any course cancellation made by the customer within 15 days of the due course start date will result in full course fees including VAT and test fee being forfeited.

7. Any cancellation /amendment made by the customer 15 or more working days prior to the commencement of any training booked will incur a 25% administration charge of the tuition fee.

8. Total Logistics Training reserve the right to terminate any training booked by the customer if the course fees have not been paid in full before the commencement of the course.

9. Any variation to the joining instructions, course date, time of attendance, etc. will be made in writing by Total Logistics Training to the Customer. The Company will make every effort to keep to the original agreed course confirmation, however in the event of a course cancellation imposed by the Company the Customer will be offered the next available course. If the revised course date is unsuitable then customer will receive a full refund.

10. All customers are informed of our terms and conditions which are available from our website and head office.

11. All Customers should ensure where applicable that (PPE) Personal Protective Clothing is provided and worn in accordance to Total Logistics Training’s Health and Safety policy.

12. All Customers must be aged 18 or over, must be physically capable of undergoing the training and must be able to accept tuition in the desired discipline.

13. Total Logistics Training or its Agent accepts no liability for the death or injury of a trainee engaged on a course on the Customer’s premises. Any such liability will be the Employers alone.

14. Liability for the death or personal injury of an Instructor or Trainee will on the Customer’s premises which is due to the Customers negligence or breach of statutory duty or that or his agent or servant, shall be the Customers’ liability alone and not that of Total Logistics Training.

15. Total Logistics Training does not accept any liability whatsoever for loss or damage incurred during a course of tuition to the Customers or any third party’s goods or equipment, lift trucks, vehicles, buildings, materials or chattels.

16. The Customer is totally responsible for the correct maintenance of the fork lift truck or any equipment used during the course that has been provided by the Customer. Total Logistics Training will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage, including loss of use, arising from any defect inherent in a vehicle or from the Customers failure to maintain the vehicle/equipment correctly.

17. Customers who are considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will have their course terminated immediately and all course fees forfeited.

18. All Customers undertaking training with the Total Logistics Training are required to adhere to any notices or instructions given to them by any member of the Company’s staff.

19. Where Total Logistics Training has arranged external examinations for the Customer the Company accepts no liability for the accuracy of the Customers details should a dispute arise with the external examination body.

20. Every effort is made to ensure course notes, presentations and any relative tuition material is correct at the time of print. The Company accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions.

21. The Company will not be held responsible for loss of any personal items left in any training vehicle or classroom, or any other area of the Company’s premises.

22. The Company cannot be held responsible for practical tests being cancelled by any examining body.

23. Should any examination be cancelled then every effort will be made to arrange a retest for the Customer.

24. The Company reserve the right to terminate any Customer whilst attending a training course, if the Company deems the Customer to present a danger to themselves and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.

25. In the event of a mechanical breakdown, the Company will provide additional training equipment equal to the amount of time lost.

26. Smoking is not permitted in the Company’s training vehicles or Company’s premises.

27. Should a customer become ill whilst on their course (LGV Training) any tuition not received will be given at a later date subject to us being able to find a replacement Customer to take up the lost time, any test fee lost must be reclaimed from the (DSA) Driving Standards Agency and is subject to their terms and conditions, a doctors certificate covering the day(s) lost, including the test date must be provided.

28. It is solely the responsibility of the Customer to ensure they have the correct LGV provisional entitlement when commencing an LGV course with Total Logistics Training. Failure to produce the correct entitlement will result in the course being cancelled and fees being forfeited.

29. Customers should also be aware of their responsible to ensure drivers attending courses are able to comply with legislation with regards to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.

30. All Customers must comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
